Modify Post Share Count Manually

Sometimes you publish a new post and there is need to set the share count for it manually.

You can do this by modifying the share count value from the Custom Fields options:

Go to your post editor. You find the share count data of a single post in the custom field: mashsb_shares

If the Custom Fields Editor is not visible make them visible from Screen Options button from the upper right corner:

Keep in mind that the manually modified share count will grow on your frontend only when the amount of real shares exceeds this manually added number. So it is not recommended to use a very high number as this would result in a share count which is not updated for a very long time, except your article is boosted and shared thousands of times, of course;)
