Count the Total Number of Views Since a Post Was Created
If you have installed the page view add-on after using your website a while the page view count will only show the view count from beginning of the installation date. So it lacks amount of views which has been generated earlier since a post was created.
Technically its not possible to detect and show automatically the previously generated page view counts but you can manually enter old share counts to any page of your site:
First activate custom fields if it is not activated;

- Go to the page you want to increment the view count and click on edit.

- Go to Custom Fields and find the field ‘ mashpv_pageviews_count‘.

- Change the value here to the one you like. E.g. you could check your google analytics pageviews stats and than put in a corresponding value.
